Uplift
A featherweight (13.6kg / 30lb) combat robot with an electric lifter and powerful four wheel drive.
Summary
Begun in 2017 then put on hiatus for several years and finally finished in 2024, Uplift is our first featherweight combat robot. Intended to fight in the less destructive sportsman subclass, it’s constructed mostly from 20mm, 15mm and 10mm HDPE plastic.
Its primary weapon is a lifting arm powered by a 24v cordless drill motor running through a 132:1 BaneBots P60S gearbox, but with a powerful four wheel drive system it also has great pushing power and can reach speeds of around 20mph.
